In this educational webinar for teens and young adults, we will talk about the difference between credit unions and banks, help them determine their financial goals, explain how to achieve those goals, and complete an interactive budgeting activity.

This fun, interactive activity teaches how to make smart money decisions, while delivering a taste of living on a budget and real-world realities. Teens and young adults are given a persona: a fictional occupation, salary, credit score, spouse and a child, student loan debt, credit card debt, and medical insurance payments. Then, they are faced with purchasing decisions, such as buying a home, transportation, food, clothing, and other daily needs. Throw in a few challenges along the way, like a pushy car salesperson or unexpected expenses, and things start to get real. They will be faced with weighing wants against needs. Luckily, there’s a credit union to turn to for help.
